Cure for the times: Get Outdoors! We were blessed recently with a moment to unplug and we chose Greer, Arizona.
To be in this world and not of it and to understand the difference is medicine for the soul. Purposely choose a getaway with absolutely no connection to devices and see how connected you already are to said, world. Love you, Father! 🙏
We had been working on this hat for the shop. We even kidded around about how cool it would be if President Trump would somehow get to see it. Now, I don’t know why things in life happen the way they do, but one thing I do know is that God is behind this one for sure! Meet Chris Cox, founder of “Biker’s for Trump”. He comes into the shop last week on the same day that we finished the hat. 🧐 We saw his vest and knew right away he would appreciate the craft on this one. He says, “Want me to take this and give it to Trump tomorrow night?” We were like, “TAKE IT! TAKE IT!” There wasn’t a guarantee that it could be done, but by the grace of God, and Chris’s awesomeness, it happened! Trump’s reaction says it all and from these small town, small business hat makers, we are so humbled. What a special thing to happen. Keep your heads up and focus on the light, America. Good things are coming.🇺🇸
Way cool! Thank you so much 🙏Dear Eric and Emily Watson and Crew of Watsons Hat Shop, Cave Creek, Arizona
I want to give you a great big Thank You from Up Nort’. I am as happy as a Pickle in a bed of Sour Kraut! Almost as happy as I am to still have a full head of hair. You made this old man’s millennium on the refurbishment of my Chocolate Colored Vintage 1976 Stetson XXX Beaver Felt Cowboy Hat. I purchased this hat in a Western Wear and Haberdashery Shop in Winfield, Kansas while on a 3 state, 4-month tour with a band of fine traveling musicians and I actually met Willie Nelson in 1976 while on that tour and spent some time with him in Austin, Texas in this hat. The stories it could tell!
I am currently writing a three-volume set of books about the musical journey that led me to this meeting and that I was lucky enough to be a part of as a young pup! This hat has become one of the characters in this tale. Thus, my reason for having it refurbished. I could not stand to see it in the shape that it had become.
Your craftsmanship is beyond stellar. I can feel your pride from here! I retired from a 56-year-old Family Business as Vice President of that corporation, and I know a thing or two about pride in what you do and being a craftsman. Not only does my hat look like brand new, but you also resized it to perfection. It fits better than ever. It is as if I was there in the room when you resized it to ensure its proper fit. Thank You for your attention to detail. Keep up the good work!
If I ever get down your way I will stop by and say hello!
After several requests for a cardinal, I finally did one on this beautiful pure beaver hat for the show room. I have a feeling it will fly away soon to its new owner! This is made for either male or female and I know we have some AZ Cardinal fans out there - great game day hat!
This unique style has led us to research its origins to the gold and silver miners of the 1890s to the mid 1900s. (Particularly the Denver CO region) Its pretty cool and with an origin like that, its sure to spark good conversation.
If you have called us or stopped in, you may have chatted with Jerry, a true gem at Watson’s Hat Shop. Jerry helps us clean, repair, and restore your “train-wreck of a hat.” I admire his dedication and humble work as he restores the life back into your most treasured hats. He is more than just a helping hand around here, Jerry is a part of the Watson Hat Shop family. He is full of Godly wisdom, business advice, and stories of his service as a US Navy veteran 🇺🇸! We love you “Restoration Jerry!”
Check out his work on this before and after shot of a well worn Watson hat. @watsonshatshop
